Release Date and Launch Timeline
Announced 9 June 2026, preorders open 24 July, manual published 28 October, worldwide release 29 October 2026 on Switch and Switch 2. No demo, no DLC announced, and no PC version exists.
Hello Kitty Party Land was announced in June 2026, opened preorders in July, published its manual the day before launch, and released worldwide on 29 October 2026. This page is the dated record, with what each step actually confirmed.
The timeline
| Date | Event | What it gave players |
|---|---|---|
| 2026-06-09 | Sanrio Games announces the title as its first game, with the official site and trailer | The name, the platforms, the party-game premise |
| 2026-07-24 | Digital preorders open; 29 October release date confirmed | Price, editions, the 80-T-shirt bonus |
| 2026-10-28 | Official game manual published | Controls, board rules, quotas, Melody Cake and Poster Studio mechanics |
| 2026-10-29 | Worldwide release, with the "available now" announcement | The game itself |
The manual arriving one day before launch is why most of the mechanical detail on this site is only a day or two old: before 28 October, the quotas, the space names and the Creative Labo interfaces had not been published anywhere.

Platforms
Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. The game is a Switch title that also runs on Switch 2, and the store listing describes the Switch version as behaving the same there. There is no PC, PlayStation or Xbox release, and no demo.
Price at launch
$49.99 for the digital Standard Edition on the US eShop. The Day 1 and Premium editions are physical only, so the digital price is the only fixed number across regions. Full breakdown on editions and price.
Age rating
ESRB Comic Mischief, which is the "Everyone 10+" descriptor band. In practice that is the rating Sanrio-adjacent party games tend to land on: nothing violent, some slapstick.

What launch week did not include
Worth stating plainly, because a lot of the search traffic around a new party game is speculative:
- No demo. There is no trial version on the eShop.
- No codes. The only code in the box is the Character T-Shirt download code, and it is not a redeemable-in-game currency.
- No DLC announced. The three editions are box contents, not content packs.
- No PC version. The listings are Switch and Switch 2 only.
Where to start now that it is out
If you have just bought it, the beginner tips page covers the first hour. The board game tips page covers the turn loop all three boards share, and the mini-games list names the 21 games the official material has identified so far.
