Characters and Partners in Party Land
The game advertises 145+ Sanrio characters and 16 who can be your partner. Official material names 24 of them through mini-game and board titles, and the rest arrive through stickers, conversations and present-icon games.
Hello Kitty Party Land advertises 145+ Sanrio characters, and the number is real in the sense that the sticker book is built to hold them. What the game does not publish is a single list, so this page does the honest version: it names the characters the official material actually names, and explains how the rest arrive.
The two counts that matter
| Number | What it is | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| 145+ | Sanrio characters appearing in the game | Official product copy |
| 16 | Characters who can be your partner | Official product copy |
| 21 | Mini-games with a named character attached | Official mini-game listings |
| 45+ | Mini-games in total | Official product copy |
Those are four different things, and the game is often described as if they were one. The 145+ is a cast list; the 16 is who can walk with you; the 21 is how many mini-games the official pages have named so far.
Characters named in official material
Every name below appears in an official game or mini-game title, so none of it is guesswork:
| Character | Where they appear |
|---|---|
| Hello Kitty | Host of Speedy Peeling; the face of the game |
| Badtz-Maru | Selectable partner on Blooming Flower Festival |
| Marroncream | Runs the flower festival board |
| Tiran | Runs the Tropical Twilight board |
| Goropikadon | Runs the Sparkling Neon Night board |
| Pompompurin | TEAM PURIN's Sneaky Strawberries; Jiggly Jump |
| Cinnamoroll | Home Run Derby |
| Kuromi | Kuromi and Romina's Rescue Mission |
| Little Twin Stars | Stellar Fishing |
| Tuxedo Sam | Slippery Gift Grab |
| Pekkle | Balloon Blowout |
| Gudetama | Pushback Panic |
| Charmmykitty | Jewel Box |
| Marumofubiyori | Cushion Challenge |
| Hanamaruobake | Ice Cream Tower |

| Romina | Rescue Mission, alongside Kuromi |
That is 24 names attached to named games and boards, which is a floor rather than a ceiling: the other 20-plus mini-games carry the rest of the cast.

How you meet them
Three routes, all of them passive:
- Talk. Characters standing around Hometown and the boards hand out stickers when you speak to them.
- Play mini-games. Clearing a game collects a sticker for the character attached to it.
- Follow the present icon. In the Minigame Corner, games marked with a present icon are flagged as the ones where you can meet someone new. That icon is the closest thing to a character checklist the game gives you.
The sticker book is where "have I met this one" is answered — it lists names, not just faces. More on that on the stickers page.
Partners are a smaller club
Only 16 characters can be your partner. They are the ones who walk with you, gain friendship, and hand over special clothing. Partner selection happens on the way into Party Land, and the roster is what the partner menu shows.
The partner layer has its own page: partner friendship and special clothing, including where the special sets are found and how to swap partners mid-game.
What the game will not tell you
There is no in-game encyclopedia of all 145+, no numbered gallery, and no official published list. Anything claiming a complete roster with every name is filling a gap the game leaves open. What you can do is use the sticker book as the ledger: the names it lists are the names in your save.
If you are chasing the cast for the T-shirt, the Character T-Shirt and sticker book page explains how stickers move from the book to clothing.
